A show inspired by the story of Agata, her martyrdom, her relics, and her treasures. Thus was born “Agata: the Holy Maiden” by Giovanni Anfuso, a sacred drama dedicated to the patron saint of the city of Catania, designed to be performed in the Badia di Sant’Agata, one of the most evocative churches in the Etna capital.

With the contribution of Isola Bella – which for years has paid tribute to the patron saint with the collection The Jewels of Sant’Agata – a theatrical story set during the Second World War, blending true events and imaginary adventures, real figures and literary inventions, becoming an opportunity to create a fresco of the deep feelings of a city that has always been one with its Saint.
