A completely Sicilian story, a coming-of-age tale intertwining love for the land, the desire to escape, and the dream of returning to one’s roots. "The Lion’s Rock" – produced by Scandura Production with direction and screenplay by Rosario Scandura – tells the story of Saro, who grows from a child into a young adult and faces themes such as attachment to family and one’s roots, the will to fight to protect beloved places from illegal acts and crimes, like building abuses and illegal fishing.

Filmed on the Ionian coast, between the fishing village of Santa Maria La Scala and Acireale, the film showcases stunning views of the Island, creating a faithful portrait of Sicily.
The choice of costumes also supports the story: among the jewels stand out the exclusive creations of Isola Bella, such as the iconic wheel earrings.

A collaboration aimed at promoting Sicilian art and culture and raising public awareness on issues like environmental respect: for this reason, the film received the Hot Corn Green award at the latest Rome Film Festival.
