Elena Bonetti, Minister for Equal Opportunities and the Family, visited Sicily last Saturday – July 11 – to attend some institutional meetings in Palermo. Accompanying her on the visit were the President of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, Lella Golfo, and the Sicilian representative of the Foundation, Marcella Cannariato.

These important meetings highlighted several issues that the Foundation – always at the forefront of all the ‘battles’ concerning the personal and professional growth of women, aiming to promote a gender-aware culture focused on equality – pursues with the support of institutions, such as violence prevention and the enhancement of female professionals working in both the public and private sectors.

On the occasion of the visit, Barbara Mirabella, Councilor for Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Catania, together with the women representing the Catania section of the Foundation, wished to show support for the Foundation and its mission by choosing to present the Minister and the two Presidents – national and regional – with exclusive creations by Isola Bella Gioielli, a brand that has always focused on promoting the territory through collections dedicated to women. An important gesture to thank Women who support Women.
